NW 27th Avenue Bascule Bridge Rehabilitation

Mechanical and electrical rehabilitation of the twin double-leaf bascule bridges over the Miami River. Work included repairing the existing hydraulic span drive machinery (new hydraulic cylinders, cardanic ring supports, upper clevis assemblies, and reconditioning of the main Hydraulic Power Unit with new valves pump motors), reconditioning the live load shoes and span lock repairs (new guide and receiver shoes, new span lock hydraulic power unit and actuator), replacing hydraulic power unit proportional valve controller cards, and installing new traffic gates.

Project Administrator was responsible for RFI, RFM, submittal tracking, schedule review, scheduling and conducting progress and field meetings, as necessary. Assisted coordination with USCG and Miami River Marine Group for all work obstructing channel, and inspection of mechanical installation.
